Siop Siarad Monthly Conversation Groups

What is a Siop Siarad? A “siop siarad” is an informal Welsh conversation group allowing people the opportunity to practice their Welsh language skills in a welcoming, low-pressure situation. Each of our sessions will be moderated by an advanced speaker who will facilitate conversation and answer questions. Your group moderator will get in touch with you during the week prior to the session with additional information about conversation topics.

Which level do I pick? If you were in our Beginning or Intermediate session at the Cwrs Rhith, or have taken Cwrs Cymraeg levels 1-4, you’ll probably be most comfortable in the Beginning/Intermediate group. Those in the Advanced session at Cwrs Rhith, or Cwrs Cymraeg levels 5-6, should join the Advanced group. But, remember–these are informal groups, so don’t worry too much about picking the right level. Please note: there is no difference in level between the Intermediate 1 and 2 groups.

Currently, we hold our conversation groups on the third Saturday of each month.
